Event Description
The C.Harper Western PA Home Show and Community Days, brought to you by Tri-State Events, Inc., will take place on May 18 - 20 at the brand new, state-of-the-art, Convocation Center at California University of Pennsylvania.
This is a first of its kind event, with many activities, that are fun filled and family oriented for you, your family and friends. Featured inside the convocation center are many diverse companies that will make your dream home come to life! BringHome100, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring home missing local children through sports partnerships, will have their booth along with missing children profiles set up in the foyer. Dennis Bair, former Chicago Cub and founder of BringHome100, will be signing autographs along with former Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier. In addition, several other former and present legends from the Pirates, Penguins, Steelers, Pitt and Penn State Universities will be signing autographs to promote the organization’s ultimate goal: to help locate missing local children.
Outside the convocation center, Froggy will be launching their Hometown Country Tour live on Saturday. VFI Fireworks will be shooting off the C. Harper Fireworks Extravaganza above the river immediately following the concert. Jamboree in the hills’ mother-daughter duo, Loretta and Elli, will be the opening act to kick off Froggy’s Hometown County Tour! The prominent Pittsburgh River City Brass Band, presented by Satellite Connection, will be performing all three days of the show; followed by the River City Youth Brass Band.
The flea market, sponsored by Crosskey Human Services, will be held all three days, along with an auction all three days (1 - 4 p.m. daily), and over thirty outside vendors. Are you considering building or buying a new home? You are in luck! Riverview Homes will have a live modular home to walk through, and Colonial Structures, from North Carolina, will have a cedar log home to tour as well. There will be several games lined up along the street for children to play, along with Tootsie the clown, and many other attractions for you and your family!
