Event Description Jesus Nebot will be on campus on Thursday, Oct. 4 to screen his celebrated film “No Turning Back” and entertain discussion on the subject of illegal immigration at its conclusion. This event will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Duda 103 and will be free to the entire university community.
"No Turning Back" is a thought provoking immigration story inspired by actual events that reflects upon the need of transcending our judgments of other cultures and points of view in order to live peacefully and harmoniously in a society as diverse as ours.
Jesus Nebot wrote, directed, produced and also stars in this critically acclaimed film winner of 23 international awards that has already been viewed by millions of people in 78 countries.
Due to its social relevance, Jesus has used the film to create a perfect multicultural event that is widely booked nationwide to expand the debate about illegal immigration beyond our limited beliefs so we can find long lasting humanitarian solutions that are in alignment with our most fundamental values.
This 2 hour and 30 minute presentation includes an introduction of the film, the screening, a short lecture and a question and answer session with the audience.
