End Date: 4/23/2013End Time: 12:00 PM

Event Description:
Rich Wirdzek, a Cal U alumnus who has a degree in broadcast/operational meteorology, will be coming to Cal U on Tuesday, April 23 to discuss his career in meteorology. The event will be held in Eberly 120 at 11 a.m.

Rich started his career at HSTU-News 19 in Uniontown PA, and then moved down south, where he was the morning and noon Meteorologist for the WCBI TV on CBS. From here, he gained experience in severe weather coverage, like tornado outbreaks and hurricanes. He currently works for WHIO TV and the Storm Center 7 Weather Team in Dayton, Ohio. At the station, he and his team use data received by radar, and other instruments to predict the weather. They then broadcast this information live, to the general public.

The Meteorology club is sponsoring this event, and encourages all interested students to attend. For further details on the Cal-U Meteorology Club, and our Colloquia Speakers please visit our website.
