End Date: 7/30/2013End Time: 7:00 PM

Event Description:

Young golfers can learn from the pros at the California University of Pennsylvania Youth Golf Clinic, set for 6 p.m. July 30 at Southpointe Golf Club's practice facility in Canonsburg, Pa.

The free clinic is part of the 2013 Mylan Classic schedule.

At the clinic, professional golfers will explain basic golf skills and introduce youngsters to the game, a lifetime sport that fosters physical fitness, cooperation, self-confidence and sportsmanship for players of all ages.

Clubs and other equipment will be provided. Advance registration is not required, and families are welcome to bring their cameras.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to try out the game or pick up a few tips from the pros,” says Justin Barroner, director of the professional golf management program at Cal U. “Golf is a sport that almost anyone can enjoy. It’s fun even for beginners, yet it’s challenging enough to keep players involved for a lifetime.”

The Mylan Classic will be held from July 29-Aug. 4 at Southpointe Golf Club.
