Cross Country Camp lectures

Event Description
As part of its annual summer camp, the California University of Pennsylvania cross country program is hosting a free lecture featuring Olympians Khadevis Robinson and Erin Donohue.

The free event, which is open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Old Main on campus. Those interested in attending the event are encouraged to utilize the free parking available in Lot 4.

Robinson was a NCAA National Champion in the 800-meter run at TCU. He went on to become one of the most consistent 800-meter runners in United States history, winning eight national titles and posting a personal record of 1 minute, 43.68 seconds. A two-time Olympian, Robinson represented U.S.A. in both the Athens and London Olympics and competed at seven-consecutive World Championships. In 2006, he anchored the 4x800-meter relay to a world-record time of 7:02.82. Robinson is currently the head coach of the women's cross country team and assistant coach of the women's track & field team at Ohio State.

Donohue was one of the all-time best female high school runners the state of New Jersey. A multiple-time state champion, she won the mile at National Scholastic High School Invitational in 4:48.68 as a freshman and also won in a record time of 4:42.96 as a senior. She also recorded a third-place finish at the National Scholastic High School Invitational in the javelin as a senior. Donohue is one of a few High School All-Americans ever to earn the status in both distance and throwing events. A four-time NCAA All-American and member of several Penn Relays championship teams at North Carolina, she made the 2008 U.S. Olympic team in the 1,500-meter run. Donohue has also represented U.S.A. at several World Championships with personal bests of 1:59.99 for the 800 meters and 4:03.49 for the 1,500 meters.
