9 a.m. - Continental Breakfast

9:30-11 a.m. - The Cal U premiere of the film MADAME PRESIDENTA: Why Not U.S?
Followed by a talk and Q & A with Heather Arnet, film director and chief executive officer of the Women and Girls Foundation.

11 a.m.-12 p.m. - Women’s Studies Minors and WST Advisory Board Lunch and Discussion

12:15-1:45 p.m.
- Film, THE INVISIBLE WAR, nominated for an academy award and received the U.S. Documentary Audience Award at Sundance, exposes one of the biggest catastrophes facing the U.S. military.

2-3:15 p.m. - Presentation by Faith J. Dickinson, Founder and President of Women in Film and Media Pittsburgh.

3:30-5:00 p.m.
- MISS REPRESENTATION award winning documentary film.
“…Exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. The film challenges the media’s limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.”

5:00 p.m.
- Women’s History Month Celebration Dinner
Attendees include those affiliated with The Women’s Center, Women’s Studies, Cal U Women United, The Women’s Consortium and the President’s Commission on the Status of Women.
